Disclaimer: I’m binging The White Lotus right now as of 04/02/25. I am cuirrently watching Season 3, Episode 7, “Killer Instincts.”
Let me start by saying—Season 3 of The White Lotus does not outshine the masterpiece that is season 2.
I’ll give them credit—it did keep my attention in more ways than one.
I miss Jennifer Coolidge’s marble-gargling voice—but what I can appreciate is the style the show has gone.
That is until I got to episode 5 of season episode 5, “Full Moon Party.”
In this episode, Lochlan, Saxton, Chloe, and the gap-toothed Aries girl take a mix of pills and liquor—standard White Lotus chaos, right? But it spirals.
Michael White—why did you write this nasty-ass storyline?
The next morning, episode 6, Saxon wakes up and he immediately starts getting memories of last night and they showed us Saxon and Lochlan end up both sleeping with Chloe, but during Lochlan’s turn, I thought Saxon was jerking off while him and his brother was looking at each other. but OH NO, low and behold, we found out that that Saxon wasn’t jerking himself off…
Lochlan was jerking his brother off WHILE HAVING SEX WITH CHLOE.
I’m just so digusted with the turn that was taken, and it just further proves everything I was saying in STOP WRITING INCEST PLOTS OMG,
Lochlan also concerns me because he;’s the youngest of the three and he is constatntly with his brother or sister and dealing with these complex feelings that are coming up because he’s torn between his older sister and brother.
His brother chose to put him a situation where he enabled and encouraged his little brother to flirt with women who have boyfriends and going so far as to stay on the boat with Chloe & Ms Gap after their family departed, leading Lochlan to be drugged, drunk, and having a threesome with his brother and some bald, rich guy’s girlfriend.
Lochlan just turned 18. And Saxon is his oldest brother…
Yes, it was satisfying seeing Saxon unravel—but also… this is gross.
No, seriously—what was the creative intent here?
Have you been watching The White Lotus? What do you think about Season 3 so far—and specifically this storyline? Was it bold writing or just plain disturbing?
NEED everyone’s thoughts on this because this episode was insanity.
THANK YOU! I tried to fast-forward through those flashbacks because it was just….too much. I really don’t see what purpose it served or why this needed to be a plot in the first place. And listen, I can handle a lot of things but naurrrrrr naurrr naurrr. Sick to my stomach, frankly.
